PERL MAGAZINE ARTICLE-PUBLISHING PERMISSION PUBLIC "CONTRACT"

Perl Magazine is a specialized platform for Perl and non Perl users  who wish to
share with others their knowledge about Perl and other topics related
to computer
science. It is, at the same time, a Magazine, both in digital and
paper versions.
The digital version of Perl Magazine is available for free to all
users of the net
without exception. The paper version of this Magazine, however, has a cost. The
earnings from the paper version of the Perl Magazine will be used for its
maintenance, and improvement of both the digital and paper versions of Perl
Magazine.

Writers who wish to include their articles into Perl Magazine have to send their
articles to Perl Magazine under the following format and specifications:

1. It has to be sent in ASCII or ODT
2. Images included in the article should be in PNG format. Used images
into the article must have the copyright of the writer, or be images
for free use.
3. It should not exceed three pages (no more than 1000 words). However, if the
writer thinks that his article is worth more than three pages, the writer should
contact Perl Magazine and ask for more space.
4. When your article contains references to code which needs to be downloaded
from Perl Magazine this code has to be licensed under the GPL-2 or GPL-3 FSF
licenses, or compatible with these FSF licenses. In this case, you
have to submit
the source code to Perl Magazine. Therefore, Perl Magazine will not accept,
without exceptions, proprietary code or code subject to restrictions.


Writers are the copyright owners of their article. However, sending by mail the
article to Perl Magazine means accepting the following conditions:

1. Sending your article by mail means giving permission to Perl Magazine to
publish your article at no cost for Perl Magazine
2. The royalties you would be given by this action would be non-commercial
royalties, such as popularity and the opportunity to get known through Perl
Magazine.

Accepting these conditions will not lessen your rights in any form.

Perl Magazine disclaims all responsibilities for the articles and its
contents, and also disclaims any liability for damages resulting from
the use of the information contained into the articles submitted to
Perl Magazine.
